About the event

Cantopop superstar Hacken Lee will present his brand-new world tour “Hacken Lee x Orchestra Concert in Singapore” on 9 June at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. Joining him on stage for this magnificent concert is a 50-piece orchestra from The Philharmonic Orchestra Singapore and his Hong Kong dancers and band. The highly successful tour kicked off last year and has seen Lee collaborating with orchestras in Hong Kong, Beijing, Ningbo, Shantou and Foshan, performing to sold out audiences.

The theme of this tour is inspired by the opening track “Xian Xu” (To Be Continued), written from the perspective of a group of orchestra players, taken from his latest album Da Ren De Tong Hua (Fairy Tales for Adults, 2023). Hacken Lee shares that, “many of my classic hits such as “Yue Ban Xiao Ye Qu” (Half Moon Serenade), “Shen Shen Shen” (Sum Sum Sum) and “Wo Bu Hui Chang Ge” (Campanella), among others, truly come alive with orchestral accompaniment. My music often delves into the emotional nuances of love, loss and the intricacies of contemporary life. These themes, I believe, are best amplified and honoured by the depth and complexity that only a symphony can provide.” He also enjoys collaborating with local talents as the creative synergies spark and motivates him.

Known for his powerhouse vocals, the audience will not only get to hear Lee sing his hits such as “Hong Ri” (Red Sun), “Jiu Huan Ru Meng” (Old Flames), “Hu Hua Shi Zhe” (Flower Angel), “Ai Bu Shi Shou” (Can’t Give Up), “Gao Mei” (Go Mui), “Da Hui Tang Yan Zou Ting” (City Hall) and more, there would also be a special medley of some of the most popular tracks in Cantopop, making this a not-to-be-missed concert for all, especially Cantopop lovers!
