An Evening with José Carreras

One of the greatest tenors of all times, José Carreras returns for a one night only concert at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. "An Evening with José Carreras" celebrates and salutes the remarkable career of an opera legend. The concert is part of José Carreras' Asia tour and promises a memorable evening serenaded by one of the most exceptional voices of our time.  The tenor will be joined by our local soprano, Teng Xiang Ting, under the baton of Maestro David Giménez and accompanied by The Philharmonic Orchestra. The concert repertoire will include arias from Francesco P. Tosti, Salvatore Cardillo and Alessandro Derevitsky. José Carreras professional operatic singing span almost 50 years and his wide repertoire include over 60 operas and more than 600 titles of the most diverse styles, ranging from the baroque to contemporary music, with the most outstanding being Andrea Chenier, La Bohème, Tosca, Werther, Don Carlo, Carmen, La Forza del Destino, I Pagliacci, L'Elisir d'Amore and Un Ballo in Maschera. He has sold millions of records across the classical and popular music genres. Among the numerous national and international prizes and distinctions bestowed upon José Carreras are the Grand Prix du Disque from the Academy of Paris; the Luigi Illica Prize; a Grammy Award; the Sir Lawrence Olivier Award and the Classical Brit Award and many more.
